Houbara

Houbara
Houbaras became threatened in the last few years. Falconry usually use houbaras for training, so it is not what falcons like to hunt but it’s the way how they trained. Unfortunately poaching causes a loose of these birds.
Some surveys were done from IFHC to Houbaras owners to know the number of new bred birds. Other surveys focused on awareness of public. IFHC has exceeded the target for releasing birds, but they still have to work on public awareness so that we don’t stick in the same problem again. Moreover IFHC worked with schools and other social organizations for the same purpose.
